November is here. The evenings are getting darker, the candles are coming out, and the calendar is filling up with occasions worth celebrating. This year, we’ve decided to dedicate the entire month to the men in our lives. And then there are the little everyday pleasures. The man who discovers that his partner’s expensive face cream is actually rather wonderful and eventually insists on having his own. The one with surprisingly strong opinions about which scented candle creates the perfect atmosphere for a Friday evening. Or the man who finds himself wiping away tears on the sofa while watching Interstellar. 🎬

And really, who could blame him? In Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar, Cooper is everything we might expect from a traditional film hero: brave, determined, and willing to travel into the unknown to help save humanity. But one of the film’s most unforgettable moments has nothing to do with spaceships or extraordinary adventures. It’s the moment he watches years of video messages from his children and breaks down in tears, overwhelmed by love, loss, and the time he can never get back. For a moment, the heroic astronaut is simply a father who misses his children. 🚀❤️

And that is what makes the scene so powerful. It reminds us that courage and vulnerability can exist in the same person. That love can be both our greatest strength and the thing that makes us feel most exposed. We don’t need men to be superheroes. We appreciate the ones who are present, genuine, and unafraid to be human. And perhaps that’s the real beauty of changing expectations: not replacing one set of rules about masculinity with another, but allowing men the freedom to be themselves—with kindness, confidence, humour, tenderness, and everything in between. 🕊️✨
