Think about the light. Outdoors, you take the best pictures early in the day and late in the afternoon, when the daylight is softer. It is difficult to take good close-ups with direct sunlight because people squint when the light is bright and strong. Find a place that the wedding couple like for a posed photo shooting between the ceremony and the celebration. It can be anywhere depending on what you have in mind: a park, an impressive building or by the sea. Visit the selected location in advance to check the light conditions at the time of the shooting. You may not be a professional photographer, but you have something that no professional has, despite their experience. You know the bride and groom and probably also many of the guests, or at least many of them. How does that help you? The most important thing on a day like this is the emotions. You may not take technically perfect photos, but the fact of knowing the couple well makes it easier for you to capture their true story and feelings.<\/span><\/p>\n

Now it’s time to take lots of improvised pictures. The posing ended at the photo session earlier. Take photos from different angles and perspectives, preferably without the bride and groom or the guests looking directly into the camera lens. Be creative and use the elements found in the surroundings to frame the pictures: furniture, mirrors, or even use architectural elements. Try to take a picture of all the guests. It may be a difficult task.
